Mackinac Island
We found a fitting location to for the t-shirt that I was wearing at the site of the British landing on Mackinac.
I really love this picture. The old buildings were fantastic!
Most of the houses on the island's bluffs are huge old historic houses, very cool.
Ethan and Reid take a break during the bike trip around the island.
I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the Katterman family a little better.
Ethan was collecting all the shiny black rocks that he could find.
I think I know a future photographer when I see one!
The whole Thacker clan.
This Schwinn water bottle was one of my best friends during the trip. It helped me be able to bike almost 100 miles that week!
Hotel on the waterfront...
A classic of Mackinac Island, high tailing it!
This picture so needs a motivational saying to go along with it! ;o)
I love the "small town" feeling that the whole island has...it is amazing!
That canon shot is great, Jack. Your blog popularity is bound to shoot up with humor like that :)
ReplyDeleteOn behalf of the ENTIRE Reed clan...We were a bit miffed in a Christ-like, meek, Christ-honoring, genteel, calm, relaxed manner that you didn't take the time out of your busy schedule to make the extra trip/gas guzzling detour to come over the the western edge of Michigan to see US. The next time you travel to the great, great state of Michigan, you MUST take US 31 and head NORTH! We are EXPECTING you!!!
ReplyDeleteOther than that, you have a good eye for making life look GREAT through the lens of your camera.
Wow Mrs. Reed, that is the nicest that I have ever been slammed! :o)
ReplyDeleteAnd for the record, I would love to visit you all sometime in the future! If I am ever up that way again, I will be sure to let you know.
Thank you for the compliment on the photography as well. Having people support my efforts to create beautiful images is a huge help!
